I just found the CUTEST book in my public library's children's section on how to make very easy items for dolls. The book is called "Things to Make for Your Doll," by Kathy Ross. Thought I'd post two ideas since they're so easy to share...

The first one's a project for making everlasting "inflated" balloons for dolls. You just cut the mouthpiece part off a real balloon, insert a styrofoam ball inside the balloon, tie the balloon closed with a piece of that curly string seen on real balloons, then insert a long stiff wire into the styrofoam ball inside the balloon. Wrap the other end of the wire around the doll's wrist, and TA-DA, a great balloon for your dolls!

The second project's even easier. To make mittens for your dolls, just cut two fingers off a fleece glove, then stretch each cut glove finger over the doll's hand. Roll up any extra length on the doll glove, and you're done! You can also cut the wrist section off the remaining part of the glove, then use it as a fabric headband or ear warmer over your doll's head and ears!

Oh, and I just got a link to a website called Making Friends at www.makingfriends.com that you've GOTTA check out (not affiliated with them or anything, I promise). Here's some links to projects for doll items you can make...

Here's another super quick craft project for AG's... to make your doll a bulletin board where she can display cards, photos of friends, etc., just cover a small rectangle of thick cardboard with gift wrapping paper. Then you can either use push pins to display pictures and cards, or stretch rubber bands over the bulletin board and tuck in items for display that way. Personally, I think it'd be much cuter to stretch several lengths of medium-width ribbon in a lattic-design over the bulletin board and glue each ribbon's end to the backside of the board. Then you could use those flat head push pins at each intersection of ribbon to hold them down, which allows pictures and cards to be inserted under the ribbons for display!

Those look like such fun ideas, and easy enough for younger AG fans to do!

Another quick craft is a fleece blanket for dolls. Fleece comes in many styles (even licensed prints like Hello Kitty and Barbie, for AGTs who have favorites ) and it doesn't need to be hemmed.
